It has been almost six months since Piet and I made the move to Amsterdam. Six months and now I am finally feeling more at ease, my feet are more grounded, and my mind is more settled. We have a house, furniture, pots, pans, and most importantly bicycles. In six months we have completely made the transition from boat living to 'land living.' I never fully thought I would assimilate to 'land living,' after living on a boat for four years, but I must admit, the washer and dryer, dishwasher, and full sized bed are luxuries that at this point I am enjoying all together too much -- and it's fantastic. I get the 'land living' appeal.

Last weekend I was able to accompany my husband on a work trip to Malta. Not knowing what to expect was exciting as I had never been to the small island country, nor had I really brushed up on my European history. Thankfully Wikipedia came to the rescue. Here are a few from exploring the small historic town of Valletta. Despite the weekend rain, Malta is a stunning country, surrounded by the sea. Enjoy. xx
