Finishing a roll of film is always quite exciting -- the anticipation sets in until you get to see the final product. Always sort of like opening a present.

I've started to notice amongst photographers that I follow on social media a reference to film via the hashtag #filmisnotdead. While perhaps a few years ago, film took a backseat to digital photography, I could not agree more at this point that #filmisnotdead, nor is it even on the brink of dying. I adore film. It takes me back to to when I was much younger, watching my mom load and unload her cameras, or accompanying her to the lab, or even sneaking back to the darkroom in high school to not only escape from other classes but to develop a recent roll I had shot.
I recently a roll developed that was from a trip to Mexico last summer. Here are a few snaps from that trip, no editing. Shot with 35mm film on my mom's old Nikon FM2, 400ISO. Enjoy. Xx
