Engagement // Adam + Lauren

Sausalito engagement session -- beautiful day and a wonderful couple! So much fun working with friends as there is always lots of laughter - congratulations on the October wedding!

Lauren and Adam met in college on the East Coast - and although they both went to sepperate schools, they met through the College Sailing scene in Boston, MA.  Lauren hails from Ft. Worth, and Adam is from San Diego.  They have so much fun together and we had so many laughs throughout the session.

Home

There is something about going home that just makes you feel good.  However, time never ceases to just fly away and before I know it my brief stint sleeping in my childhood bed, wearing my clothes from high school, and traversing the streets I've called home for 27 years is gone, yet again.  Too short, it is always too short.  But that thing - that little something that makes you feel good, it's grounding, and I always come away from trips home with a sort of refreshed sense of myself.  Going home brings me back down from wherever my mind has been while I'm away and it strikes me to my absolute core, it reminds me who I am and where I come from, and reinstils in me everything that I have ever known.  

This trip was particularly entertaining as I was able to spend time with my family's two dogs, Phoebe and Pippy, or 'The Bad Sisters,' as they are affectionately known.  Phoebe lives with my brother and my sister-in-law, and Pippy usually lives with my sister in New Orleans, however we were fortunate to have both dogs under one roof, reunited again for some typically hilarious chaos.
